Tips for Perfect Brownie Ice Cream Cones
Tip #1 Don’t Overfill!
I learned this lesson the hard way (like 6 times over). Overfilling your brownie ice cream cones is going to result in a sticky mess. And while it’ll still taste great…what a disappointing aesthetic.
Fill your cake cone only about halfway for pure perfection.

Tip #2 Beat Those Eggs!
When you beat in your eggs, make sure to really beat them. Once incorporated into your butter, chocolate, and sugar, continue to beat them for another minute.
This is going to give you that fudgier texture with that nice crackle top.
Tip #3 Don’t Overmix Your Dry Ingredients
Overmixing these will create a cakey brownie. Mix until your dry ingredients are barely combined.

Tip #4 Piping Bags are Your Friend!
Transfer your brownie batter into a reusable piping bag. It is wayyy easier and much less messy this way and you ensure that your cone is filled to that perfect halfway point.
Get the reusable eco-friendly piping bags that I use allllll the time here.
Tip #5 Get Your Cake Cones
Cake cones are normally found near the ice cream aisle in most grocery stores. However, I have found that some grocers don’t carry them year round. *criminal, I know*
So if your grocery store has let you down, get the almost the same cake cones that I used, here.
Tip #6 Get Your Brownies Right
I suppose this isn’t exactly a tip, more of a helpful guide. If you struggle getting brownies to turn out perfectly every time, you’ve got to check out this post.
I spent countless hours figuring out how to actually make brownies perfect every single time and I share all those tips in a nice long post to save you the frustration and freezer full of failed brownies.

Fancy Brownie Ice Cream Cone Upgrades
Oh, you thought we couldn’t get any fancier? Well, plot twist, we did. Because we’re extra AF about our brownies.
As you fill your brownie cones, layer some caramel sauce, mini Reese’s cups, some chocolate ganache, or some cheesecake filling.
These are already delicious, but with all the fancy fixin’s oh ma gawd that stuff is to die for.
How to Eat These Brownie Cones
The simplest way to eat these is just as is (because…uhh yum)!
But we can make these even fancier.
Top these brownie ice cream cones with some of these ice cream scoop sugar cookies. There’s no need to worry about melting because there’s no real ice cream involved.

Or alternatively, top that glorious cone with a scoop of ice cream.
*Unless you want some super melty ice cream, I suggest chilling the brownie cones before topping with the meltable goodness*.
Other Topping Ideas
Don’t limit your toppings to ice cream and ice cream sugar cookies though! Consider trying these ideas too!
Buttercream Frosting
Salted Caramel Sauce

Hot Fudge
Whipped Cream with a Cherry on top
Toasted Marshmallows (for the s’mores effect)
Cotton Candy
