Jump to RecipeThis isn’t my typical type of recipe I share with you guys, but there’s a reason to this madness.

I use applesauce constantly in baking. It’s a fun way to get extra flavor in a recipe and frankly it’s easy…and I’m lazy. Applesauce is an easy substitute for eggs in most recipes. (1/3 cup of applesauce equals 1 egg).
But store bought applesauce kind of defeats the purpose of a healthy alternative. It’s often filled with preservatives, sugar and other things.
Well, good news! This strawberry applesauce is easy, low maintenance and requires only 3 ingredients.
I don’t know about you, but I try to meal prep every week. Which normally means that I make at least one recipe in my crockpot. Applesauce is such an underrated snack. People assume it’s just for toddlers but! I strongly disagree.
Applesauce can be used in smoothies, quick breads, muffins, cakes, and as a general egg substitute for eggs.
Materials for CrockPot Strawberry Applesauce
Crockpot (duh) – this is the one I have and use constantly.
Apple slicer – I like this one because it’s affordable and doesn’t take up a buttload of space in your drawers.
Immersion Blender – A great beginner and affordable one. (It’s the one I first got and I loved it)
or
Food Processor – if you think you’d use a food processor more than the immersion blender, this is a good, affordable starter one.

Final Notes…
Applesauce is a yummy and easy snack. It’s great for your gut health and a 100% guilt free snack. I mean it’s only strawberries and apples…its like a mushed up fruit salad. And salads are the pinnacle of #heath.
But if you’re like a lot of people you may not love eating straight mush (and fo real what’s wrong with you people? Why put the energy into chewing if you don’t have to 😂😂).
