Easy Treats are the Best for the Holidays!
As weâre starting to get into the holiday season once again, there a few things we should all keep in mind.
First off, the holiday season (which in my mind is Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) should be fun. If itâs not fun and actually enjoyableâĤ.just quit.

A miserable time is not worth your time.
Secondly, making impressive things should be easy. If you want to go out there and make a pumpkin souffle, more power to you! But if youâre like the rest of us mere mortals, thatâs way too much work with everything else to do.
So keep it simple. You can make adorable, fun, fancy looking treats pretty easily. Save your sanity, time, and patience by keeping it simple.

I thrive on these simple (albeit lazy) recipes. Because in reality, Iâm lazy. And these Jolly Rancher lollipops are EASY while still being super cute!

Tips for the Perfect Monster Jolly Rancher Lollipops
Line your baking sheets with either parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Personally, I like the baking mats for this recipe better because they came off smoothly and easily.
Add your sticks and eyeballs right after they come out of the oven.
When you add the sticks, give them a roll while keeping them centered so that the hot candy covers the whole stick. This will make the lollipops more stable in general without risking the candy part falling off all of a sudden.
Allow the candy to cool COMPLETELY! If you donât your monsters will sag and flop and be generally a hot mess.

Monsters arenât perfect, so donât expect perfection from yourself
As you can see, some of my Jolly Ranchers didnât melt perfectly. Which gave them a weird, wobbly look. Roll with it. This oneâs top rancher didnât melt perfectly so now heâs just got some cool hair.
If youâre not eating and sharing these right away, I highly recommend storing these in individual wrapping (like beeswax, eco-friendly cellophane, or in reusable sealable bags) and leaving them in a cool, dry place like your kitchen counter.
Or lay them in tupperware (not touching) separated by layers of some compostable parchment paper.
If youâre wondering why, have you ever had a glob of Jolly Ranchers stick together? Not fun.
