CrockPot Strawberry Applesauce

Strawberry applesauce not only makes an easy and healthy snack but also is the perfect egg substitution for many baking recipes. There's no sugar added to this simple CrockPot recipe + it only has 3 ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 6 red apples peeled and cored
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 heaping cups Strawberries

Instructions

  • Peel, core, and slice your apples. Throw them in your slow cooker and add your water and and strawberries.
  • Cover and cook on Low for about 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Once your apples are soft enough to poke a fork easily through, take your immersion blender and blend up the apples into a thick puree. If you want your sauce to be thicker, leave uncovered and allow to cook until you have achieved your desired consistency.
  • Store in and air tight container for up to two weeks in the fridge or up to a year in the freezer.
